Hi,I set up a store, same as yours,2 years ago & sold less the 5% over 3 months, now sell on auction & sales are a lot better,I think unless you have a few thousand to sell a store is no good.
-
Geez I must be dumb, paypal obviously

Hi,I am in New Zealand & run auction only.I put up 20-30/week on Hip + relist for 1 week..If I sell 5-6 its a good week simply because of postage costs But I also sell on my local site & sell over 5-6 weeks 90% of what I list includes relis…

LOL!!!! I am from New Zealand & the same problem there on my local site, change to a better system (so do they know what that word means????),I have rapidly come to the conclusion that we as a civilisation have reached the peak & are now on t…

Thanks,I cannot get the feedback but they have plenty so must be OK.All the lost ones were from ebay who could not care less about sellers.
-
I agree to above,as an overseas seller I never list a low value stamp (except by mistake) so front & back scans are a necessity the one problem I have is with color as Quite often the colour differs because of the monitor/screen & not the sc…

Anyone tried a sweat box,it removes paper adherence on mint & at least leaves some of the gum behind & for used stamps perfect,I have had the odd good old stamp with 5 or 6 hinges attached, try removing those with a paint brush

Hi,I am a small seller & for small items they go in a small resealable bag (65mm x 75mm) & bigger items in a bigger bag or plastic wrapped & attach to a stiffener.Since 2002 I have sold over 10,000 items with no complaint but protect ag…

Hi,I had the same problem & my mouse was double clicking for a single click, nothing to do with Hip,I just did not notice . Could be the same problem

Thank you Benedikt,I could not find it on Hip,Ebay or delcampe,I will probably list it for $10 as I only collect Europe 1910-20

There are a lot of dishonest buyers out there who claim not received, solution is to ask them to put there claim through paypal, too many claims & they get blacklisted. It may not be the postal deliverers fault.

British & American Zone WW2 Germany but this one does not exist so forgery

I agree totally with the no image situation, though I rarely sell anything under $5.A decent scan & a fair price (25% of cv is usually my highest) is my policy but I am not a dealer.I recently deleted everything in my store (only 200+ items) &a…

An interesting topic,I live overseas so making a profit is 10 times harder than local (USA) so cannot sell under $5 + postage price has to be factored in.I sell 20 times more by auction than store but only list 20-30 auction items a week + 1 relist.…

I am a small seller from New Zealand and find the post is all over the place,3 months to get to New York & 3 months to get to London & worst of all 3 months to get from our North Island to South island (should take 3 days). In each case I ref…

Hi,Poland is a great country to collect as it is not too expensive as apart from one very old one they only produced from 1918 on.Heritage is also important, especially for the kids with the advent of Wikipedia the knowledge is there.I am Scottish &a…

I agree,on my home site (trademe NZ) there is a blacklist facility.Nothing worse than buyers who win but do not pay but find out if they have been paying others. Some may have been ill or worse.
-
Thanks guys I use stampworld a lot as it shows usually all the stamps (great when you have a middle or higher value of Bulgaria,China etc, etc) + to buy a full range of specialised catalogues costs a fortune, mine are from the 1970's.& simplified …

Can u make Whoopee with a Rupee or is it more expensive now.
-
Andrew I am not in it for the money I just enjoy doing it plus when I started in 2002 on fee bay I decided to sell to buyers who do not have "deep pockets",I continue to do so.
-
Hooray I just blacklisted one ebay. His stamps got returned, wrong address so I sent an email to him & an hour later he put a claim in for refund,I was dumb enough to repost & because I am in New Zealand can take a week or more to get to the U…

Refund extra postage costs through paypal, its nice & easy I do it all the time.
-
I find auction sells better than store but I am in New Zealand so postage costs prohibit selling cheap items.

Just go to paypal, find his payment invoice & refund, refund this payment at right side
